Overview The Mardi Himal Trek, a hidden gem in the Annapurna region of Nepal, offers an exhilarating adventure through serene forests, terraced fields, and picturesque villages. This relatively less-travelled route takes trekkers off the beaten path, providing stunning panoramic views of the Annapurna, Machapuchare (Fishtail), and Hiunchuli peaks. Beginning from the vibrant town of Pokhara, the trek ascends through lush rhododendron forests and alpine meadows to reach the Mardi Himal Base Camp at 4,500 metres. Along the way, trekkers can experience the rich cultural tapestry of the region, with warm hospitality from the local Gurung and Magar communities. The trail's moderate difficulty makes it accessible for a range of fitness levels, offering a rewarding experience with breathtaking landscapes, diverse flora and fauna, and the tranquillity of Nepal’s pristine natural beauty. Highlights 1. The Trail is mostly on the range, you will have a beautiful view from every step. 2. Australian Camp, Pothana, Deurali, Badal Danda, View Point, Mardi Himal Base Camp are nice spots for the view. 3. The trek is combinations of Jungle walk and Himalayas scenery 4. Nice view of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna south, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I and other Himalayas. 5. The trek was newly developed and became very popular shortly. 6. DAY 1
Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel. After checking in and settling down, you will meet your guide, who will provide a detailed briefing about your upcoming trip. This is a great opportunity to get an overview of your itinerary, important information about the places you'll visit, and travel tips for a smooth and enjoyable experience. DAY 2
Drive 7-8 hours from Kathmandu to Pokhara (822 m)
Begin your science journey from Kathmandu to Pokhara by Private jeep . After 6-7 Hours you will reach Pokhara, a vibrant city known for its stunning lakes and breathtaking views of the Annapurna range. As you traverse the Prithvi Highway, you'll pass through picturesque countryside, terraced fields, and traditional Nepali villages. En route, soak in the beauty of the Trishuli River and lush green hillsides. Arrive in Pokhara, where the serene Phewa Lake and the majestic Annapurna peaks welcome you. Meals : Breakfast Only
DAY 3
Drive 2 hours from Pokhara to Kande and start your 4-5 hours trek to Forest Camp (2600m)
After your arrival in Pokhara, you will drive to Kade. It is an hour’s drive. From Kade, your actual trek on foot starts. After an hour of trekking on good trails, you reach the Australian Camp (2060m) to catch the great views of the Annapurna range and Pokhara valley.From here you trek to the Deurali. From Deurali, you will leave the crowded trails of the Annapurna Sanctuary and head towards Forest Camp.This part of the trail is more quiet which passes through the beautiful, lush green jungle. You can see beautiful and colourful rhododendrons and other sub-alpine flowers. Meals : Breakfast and Dinner Only Overnight : Tea Houses in Forest Camp
DAY 4
Trek 5 hours from Forest Camp to Badal Danda (3210m)
After a comfortable night at Forest Camp, your trek begins. Once again you trek through the beautiful forest area. If lucky, you may catch glimpses of the wildlife in these regions like Himalayan Thar, Mask deer, spotted Deer, Barking Deer, Snow leopard.Once the ascend begins, the landscape starts to change. The moss, lichen, and ferns cover the trees.After an hour of trek from Low Camp, the trail reaches out above the treeline. You will get your first, clear sightings of the magnificent mountains like Annapurna South and Hiunchuli.The trail continues along the ridge towards Badal danda (cloud hill),reaching Badal Danda. DAY 5
Trek 3 hours to Badal Danda to Viewpoint(4500M) and 5 hours back to Low Camp (3150M)
After a comfortable night at Badal Danda,enjoy your breakfast, and embark on a breathtaking journey to the viewpoint , where you'll witness the majestic sunrise painting the Himalayan peaks in golden hues. After capturing the magical moment, trek back to High Camp for lunch before descending to Low Camp. Along the way, cherish the memories of your trekking adventure and soak in the serene mountain atmosphere Meals : Breakfast and Dinner Only Overnight : Tea House at Low Camp
DAY 6
Trek down 4 hours to Siding (1700M) and drive 3 hours to Pokhara (827M)
Bid farewell to the mountains as you descend from Low Camp to Siding, passing through picturesque landscapes and quaint mountain villages. Along the way, interact with friendly locals and learn about their traditional way of life. Upon reaching Siding, board a vehicle for the scenic drive back to Pokhara. Reflect on the unforgettable experiences and memories you've gathered during your trek to Mardi Himal. Meals : Breakfast and Dinner Only Overnight : Standard Hotel in Pokhara
DAY 7
Drive 7-8 hours from Pokhara back to Kathmandu(1400M)
Depart from Pokhara to Kathmandu by the Deluxe Tourist Coaster. Enjoy the scenic drive, which offers stunning views of the Himalayan mountains . Breakfast Only
DAY 8
Departure from Kathmandu
After finishing your breakfast today, relax at your hotel and wait for the company representative, who will escort you to the airport at your scheduled flight time.
